Matheba talks about the launch of B'dazzled by Bonang in S3, BNG's non-alcoholic drinks store and the business behind her brand.
Celebrity Bonang Matheba has a lot to share with fans about her latest business venture, TV show and the addition of her non-alcoholic beverage line, “House of BNG”.

The new product is an alternative to the alcoholic MCC range and caters to the needs of drinkers who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, a concept she developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fondly referred to by her fans as “Queen B”, she is one of Africa's most popular and influential entertainment celebrities with a combined social media following of over 8.58 million.
Bonang rose to fame in 2007 as a presenter on SABC 1's premium music show, Live Amp.
She made history in 2013 when she became the first Revlon worldwide ambassador outside the United States.
She broke barriers in 2014 when she hosted the TV show “Front Row” on Metro FM.

Queen B currently also produces nectar blanc, non-alcoholic and pre-mixed cocktails as well as gin and tonics at House of BNG.
“It depends on where the trends go, but at the moment we're exploring pre-mixed cocktails to see if we can offer something that our customers would like,” she said.
Food and drink trends change with the seasons and with consumer preferences, which is important for sparkling wine and beverage companies. Bonan spent over two years coming up with the right flavors, adding ingredients and listening to what people wanted. Keeping in mind the sustainability and versatility of the product, Bonan also added Turkish desserts as an ingredient to vary the flavor.
“We take into account trends and where people are going with our packaging, with recycling, sustainability and the environmental issues people are heading in,” she said.
She also points to gluten-free, a big health trend in the food and beverage industry.
“We want our fans and customers to know that we care about the environment and what makes an impact in the world. We will continue to listen to what the people who enjoy our brand want,” Bonan added.

“We also did 'A very Bonang year' on SABC 2, so this was a no-brainer. These channels are always ideal as they appeal to a wider audience,” she added.
The six-part series, with each episode being 46 minutes long, is a collaboration between Bonang Matheba Entertainment and Cake Media.
Enchanted by Bonang It first launched on YouTube in 2011 and has since gained over 1 million followers.

Still, fans are hoping to see their beloved celebrity return to mainstream TV, and she admits this is a natural progression.
The show, co-produced by Matheba and David Pume, premieres at 6pm on Monday, July 29. The show offers an intimate look at her life, showcasing aspects of her personality and career she has never spoken about before, and hints that viewers may get a glimpse into her husband – something viewers have been wanting to see for a while.
“Having worked in the industry for many years, I'm excited to share a side of me that isn't usually seen – the businesses behind my various brands and how they work to better society,” she said.
