Veteran media personality Bonang Matheba has always been passionate about politics and has never shied away from bashing deserving politicians. The star is famous for slamming the incompetence of former arts and culture minister Gigi Kodwa, and even warned the current minister Gigi Kodwa when she first took up the job.
And now the star is using his influence to encourage South Africans to register to vote as registration closes at midnight on Friday 23 February.
Many have praised her outspokenness when it comes to SA politicians and the current state of the country.

This week, she spent a lot of time encouraging people to register to vote. Earlier this week, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that national elections will be held on May 29 this year.
Many people are looking forward to going to the polls and voting for the party they believe will move this country forward.
Mr. Bonang reminded everyone that without registering to vote, it would be impossible to vote, especially since registration closes tonight.
“Good morning, South Africans. Today is the last day to register…voter rolls close at midnight! Register to vote now and send this link to all your friends and family,” she said. added the following in a note:
“Every vote counts!!! Please, just…gwaniwa!! Please register.”
