Along with Nabila Shamsham and Brigitte Mangwandi, Blink will compete for the MasterChef SA Season 5 title this weekend.
Brink's composure was tested throughout the season. In one episode, Judge Justin Drake teased her by telling her that she wouldn't be cooking in the kitchen the next week.

“It’s different from cooking at home.”
An avid cook who became a food content creator during the coronavirus pandemic, she has built a strong following of around 200,000 followers on her Instagram page.
But she said cooking on a reality show is completely different from preparing meals in the comfort of her own home.
Earlier in the competition, she almost lost the Star Sign challenge when she created an over-ambitious lamb shank.
“When I cook at home in the kitchen, I don't give myself a time limit or a challenge per se like, 'I need time to make this with these ingredients.' Mystery Box Challenge. So you really have to be able to think for yourself, and that's where the pressure comes from.”
Before joining the cast, Brink joked to her husband that she would never be one of those reality show contestants who cries during high-pressure moments.
“We were watching a reality show and people were crying and upset, and he was like, 'Are you going to be that person, are you going to cry?' ” I was like, “Me?” Never! ” Brink said.
However, unknown to the contestants and viewers, 5 out of 20 master chef The hopefuls were sent home in the first episode before being given the MasterChef apron.
“The first challenge, when the five of us went home, that was the most emotional challenge for me. On the first day, the idea that we had come this far and that we might be able to go home was so intense. I just broke down crying while I was standing there,” Brink said.
Since then, her husband has started to tease her about her capriciousness.
Blink's big breakthrough in the competition came when he won the Air Fryer Challenge. She then had to cook with South Africa's air fryer king to get an “immunity pin”. Unfortunately, she didn't win, but viewers noted that she was a force to be reckoned with.
Despite the intense pressure of being in the MasterChef kitchen, Brink said the intensity has pushed her to levels she never could before appearing on the show.
“That strength is what helps me unleash that creativity, because before I was on the show, without that pressure, I don't think I would have been able to make the dishes that I did.”
