This year, the 17th annual Bushfire Festival will be held in Eswatini.
Months before the actual festival takes place in Eswatini, MTN Bushfire has put out a call for artists to take part in this year's collaboration.
“CollaboNation continues to unite and unite the continent through unique musical collaborations that promote and support the cultural heritage of traditional African music within the context of contemporary music,” said MTN Bushfire Festival Director Jiggs. Thorne said this at this year's CollaboNation presentation at AMPD Studios. in Johannesburg.
Founded in 2022, CollaboNation is a collaborative music portal that connects and unites continents through the creation of unique songs that transcend borders and transcend genres.
CollaboNation is designed to support artists, revitalize the region's music sector through training and mentorship, and inspire dynamic new African content creation.
These songs were first performed live at Bushfire Festival. The live performance has been filmed for a music video to support the international release of the audio track.
“Bringing together artists from different countries and different artistic backgrounds for such engaging creative projects and performances has never been done in this format before,” said Music. – said Eddie Hattier, Director of the In Africa Foundation.
This year's Bushfire Festival will run from May 31st to June 2nd.

Prominent African artists over the age of 21 apply for the opportunity to collaborate with artists from other African countries to record original and inspirational songs, in line with MTN Bushfire Festival's social and environmental values. You are invited to do so.
