South Africans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of President Cyril Ramaphosa's new cabinet.
It is unclear when the announcement will be made.
President Ramaphosa is reportedly in talks with leaders of political parties that have chosen to join the Government of National Unity (GNU).
PA, PAC and Rise Mzansi are some of the political parties which have confirmed their decision to join GNU in recent days.
Some South Africans say they expect a good mix of officials from different parties in Cabinet.
On the other hand, some people are cautiously optimistic that the new cabinet, unlike the previous one, will not have anyone suspected of corruption.
Political analyst Enock Maponya said President Ramaphosa faced difficult decisions.
“For the president, all the current parties in the Government of National Unity are a challenge. Forming a cabinet will not be easy. The DA has indicated that it has reached an agreement with the ANC that 60% of cabinet members will be ANC, 30% DA and 10% other parties.”
Meanwhile, SABC News visited Hout Bay, a traditional fishing village and economic hub surrounded by impoverished areas.
Residents of Hamburg and Mandela Park shared their challenges, feelings and expectations from the Government of National Unity.
