Candice Modiselle talks about the life of the late Mpho Sebeng, who passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
The TV personality posted a photo of the deceased on social media and captioned it with a long note.
Modisele recalled meeting Mpho at his first audition as a presenter and how they became close over the years.
“I love you mfanaka” will forever stay with you every time the sun sets, a gentle reminder to marvel at the majesty of God. That is the characteristic of Luce… People like him can only be experienced as the glorious embodiment of love. For a man who was (and will forever be one of the greatest storytellers of all time, even mentioning you in the past tense) was and will always be, he loved harder than he worked. You worked and what an amazing thing you saw. ”
(Funny story: Almost 10 years ago, I first auditioned as a presenter, next to Mpho in ShizNiz. I had only seen him in Wits, but I'm not that secretly a fan. What started out as industry colleagues in the same room quickly became a family.”
“Oh, mpho motuare o ka. 💔 Ke utlwile bohloko ntwanas. Your smile will forever be engraved in a part of our hearts. It was sealed with the final words, “You look happy, my friend.” (please excuse the weight gain and old man jokes 😂). All of our conversations are stamped to reflect God’s love for us. He loved us so much that He blessed us with You. Lelapa la Sebeng, re Rapla hore Modimo a le tshedise. Ho bofroko empa ho lokiru. I am truly sorry to all my friends, CraZe family, colleagues, colleagues, industry at large, and supporters who love his craft. We all share the sadness of such a huge loss. ”
“If you want to know the evidence of a life well lived? It's stamped with God's fingerprints, the imprint of His love and grace. Always and in every way, everything brings glory to God. End credits ends and the curtains close, but you, my friend, live on in us, in the sunset, in our hearts.”
