South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest has been in the headlines recently for some startling revelations about his expenses.
In a candid confession, the star revealed that he spends about R3 000 a week on electricity bills.
This insight into his household expenses has sparked a debate among fans and the public about the rising cost of living and energy consumption, especially for celebrities.
In a recent social media exchange, Casper revealed his weekly electricity bills, which amount to about R3,000.
“Hey guys, will my electricity bill change? Last week I bought electricity for R3000 and got 900 units. Today I only got 750 units for R3000. Also in my house it's crazy that R3000 electricity only lasts a week even if I turn off the water heater and use everything. Life in Johannesburg is crazy,” he wrote.
The tweet generated a lot of reaction, with the businessman also detailing how he also uses solar power at his Johannesburg home.
“I also have full solar power generation, so I have not experienced any power outages. But electricity is too expensive in this country. It's insane to pay 12,000 yen a month…Before I switched to prepaid, it was 18,000 yen a month. This is scary. What will happen in five years?”

Life is not fair. Who's the champion? Me or you? I want to spend $1500 a month on groceries too, but I live with 7 other people. So, change your perspective. https://t.co/3z3mb5a2a4
