In his continued partnership with Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, celebrity chef Jet Tila has added a new item to his signature collection: Firecracker Shrimp.
Lightly breaded shrimp is a new protein for the Irving, Texas-based fast-casual and a different twist on Pei Wei's iconic Firecracker Chicken.
“New Firecracker Shrimp combines our most popular sauce with a new big crispy shrimp protein that we're sure will be a home run,” Tyra said in an email. ”
Firecracker Shrimp debuts Wednesday and costs $11.99.
Tila's line of signature dishes has seen much success in the fast-casual restaurant's 200 locations. The fan-favorite Firecracker Chicken quickly shot to the top of Pei Wei's bestsellers list upon its launch in mid-2021.
In addition to new shrimp dishes, Pei Wei has added salmon poke bowls to the menu. Previously served Ahi Poke features Tila's spin on his bowl. The new version features honey-ginger-marinated salmon poke, scallions, cucumbers, pickled ginger, crispy onions and cilantro, served over mixed greens and sushi rice and topped with the chain's signature yum yum sauce.
“The Salmon Poke Bowl is a light option with a delicious honey ginger sauce and complementary ingredients that I would layer on any poke bowl out there,” Tila says. “At Pei Wei, we are committed to offering a wide range of incredibly mouth-watering flavors.”
