Aggie Beaver-Jones hopes his goal gives Chelsea something to think about. 3-0 victory Over Aston Villa.
Only Lauren James has scored more goals for Chelsea this season than the 20-year-old forward, and he has mainly been used as an impact substitute.
Beaver-Jones told BBC Sport: “I want to give headaches to the right people and I want to contribute to the team and what they need.”
“For me, I'm happy to help the team and scoring goals is just a bonus.”
Beaver-Jones just made her third start in the Women's Super League against Villa and has yet to play a full 90 minutes in the top flight this season, but she has eight goals in the league.
Former Chelsea and England midfielder Karen Carney said Beaver-Jones possessed “every conceivable quality” and was a selection headache for manager Emma Hayes.
“What she has to develop now is that final product,” Carney said on Sky Sports. “She has it, but she needs to keep working on it and keep trying. I think she has all the qualities to be one of the top players.”
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer added that Beaver Jones will give manager Emma Hayes a lot to think about for the team's remaining games.
“The fact that the players come in and get an opportunity to play means they can go and get results,” he said. “Now, what do you plan to do now, Emma?”
Chelsea have been through some tough times recently, losing to Arsenal in the League Cup final at the end of March and losing to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final last Sunday.
However, they bounced back against Villa and are back at the top of the WSL, leading Manchester City on goal difference.
They remain in the race for Champions League qualification and will face Barcelona in the semi-finals with the first leg played in Spain on Saturday.
Beaver-Jones said being sent off from cup competitions was “not the Chelsea way”.
“We are Chelsea and we want to win as much as we can,” Beaver-Jones told Sky Sports. “Losing two titles is not the way for Chelsea and it's not the way we wanted to do it this year.
“I think it's clear how we bounce back from a loss like that. I'm happy with the three points. We still have to fight for two titles and today was the first step in that process.”
