The festival takes place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, with Jackson set to headline the opening night on Saturday.
Organisers of Dstv Delicious Festival have remained silent on whether American artist Janet Jackson will perform at the festival's latest event this weekend following the death of one of her brothers, Tito Jackson.
Tito, a founding member of the Jackson 5, died on Sunday at the age of 70. His passing was confirmed by his sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson.
“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken,” they wrote on Instagram. “Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
Janette, 58, has been announced as one of the headliners for this year's Delicious festival, alongside neo-soul singer Jill Scott and South Africa's Thandiswa.
The Citizen has reached out to festival organisers to confirm Janet's attendance but had not received a clear response at the time of publication.
Janet recently posted a video reassuring fans that she is coming to South Africa.
The award-winning performer recently announced that he will be performing in Las Vegas for a week in the new year.

Shocked by Tito's death
The Jackson brothers said they will miss their father terribly: “To us, it will always be 'Tito Time.'”
“Remember what our father always preached: 'Love one another.' We love you, Dad.”
Tito played in a blues band with his brothers and was often referred to as the quietest member of the group.

“Celebrating 30 years of creative freedom”
The two-day Dstv Delicious Festival will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on September 21 and 22. Jackson is set to headline the opening day on Saturday alongside Thandiswa.
Now in its 11th year, the festival's theme is “Celebrating 30 Years of Creative Freedom,” paying tribute to three decades of South African democracy with a lineup that reflects the country's musical journey over the past three decades.
Saturday's “30 Years of Creative Freedom Show” will feature old school music groups such as Boom Shaka, Okmalumkoolkat, Focalistic, Cassper Nyovest and Morafe.
Featured guests on Sunday will be Jill Scott, Shava and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
On Sunday there will be another 30 Years of Creative Freedom show, this time fronted by music icons Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and former Freshly Ground member Zolani Mahola, who now performs under the name The One Who Sings.
Poet Mzwakhe Mbuli Snr will also be making an appearance on the day and interestingly, his name is listed as “snr” on the line-up because his son, Mzwakhe Mbuli Jnr, popularly known as Robot Boi, will be performing on Saturday.
