The team visited the area where the popular kykNET show is filmed.
On Thursday, in a heartwarming tribute to Nelson Mandela, Deep Waters Celebrating Mandela Day with children from the Coronationville area.
The team partnered with the City of Johannesburg to pamper 50 young people in the area where the show's iconic swimming scenes were filmed.
Children from a local kindergarten enjoyed a morning packed with fun activities including face painting, jumping castles, hot dogs and gift packs.
Roberta Durant: Deep WatersReferencing Mandela's 1993 Nobel Prize acceptance speech, he stressed the importance of celebrating Mandela Day with children.
“When he accepted the Nobel Prize in 1993, Mandela said in his speech that 'children are our greatest treasure' so it is fitting that we, the cast and crew of Deep Waters, will be reaching out to children in the community around Coronation Pool, where filming of Deep Waters is centred,” she said.

Dancing, cooking etc.
Actors Werner Coetzer (Jack), LeAndy Gray (Anja) and Johnny Potsanyane (Tshepo) also took part in the celebrations, dancing to children's songs and playing games.
Meanwhile, Werner, Justin Strydom (Gys) and Dané de Waal (Charity) were in charge of the kitchen, preparing hot dogs for the children.
“Bunning the hot dogs with Werner Coetzer was fun, but feeding these little ones was the real treat!” said Dané.
Werner Coetzer added: “Seeing the children so full of life and energy gives us hope for the future. A little bit of love makes a big difference.”
LeAndy Gray also expressed his delight, saying: “It was amazing to speak the universal language of joy and laughter with these kids. Their happiness is contagious and it was an honour to play a part in their day.”
