During a segment on the Today show, Larry David spontaneously attacked Elmo, the world's most popular Sesame Street friend.

Larry David punches Elmo
The feud between Elmo and Larry David began when Larry interrupted Elmo's part, grabbed the Muppet's head, and delivered a powerful punch.
“oh my god!”, today hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin shouted as they sat with their hands over their mouths in disbelief.
“Larry, you've gone too far this time!” Savannah said.
In response to Larry, Elmo added: “Let's go back to the couch and talk about how we're feeling.”
“Someone had to do it!” Larry David shouted afterward.
During his interview with Savannah, the comedian looked directly into the camera and apologized to Elmo.

“I just want to apologize…”
“Elmo, I just want to apologize. I'm so sorry,” the actor said, holding back a laugh.
“Thank you, Larry, Elmo accepts your apology.” muppets The character responded.
In a conversation with Seth Meyers, David revealed why he attacked Elmo. David seemed annoyed by the sound of Larry's voice when he attacked. Sesame street Super star.
“Elmo was talking about mental health and I had to listen to every word,” he shared.
Larry David continued: “And I thought, 'Oh my God, my God, I don't think I can take this anymore!'” So I got off my chair, walked up to him, and throttled him! ”
“I couldn't resist!” David insisted.
He then appeared to retract his earlier apology, telling Seth he would do it again.
“And you know what? I want to do it again!” he stated.
