It has officially been one year since radio and television personality Mark Pilgrim tragically passed away after battling stage 4 cancer.
But while many mourn his death, others celebrate his “positive vibes only” spirit.
Mark Pilgrim: Friends and fiancée pay tribute
On March 5, 2023, Mark Pilgrim lost his battle with cancer, having been diagnosed exactly one year ago.
At the time, Mark, who had previously helmed popular shows on 5FM and Jacaranda FM, was DJing on Johannesburg station Hot 102.7 FM.
In memory of the station's legend, the station posted a touching memorial video. “Every day we reflect on the life and accomplishments of our friend and colleague who will be missed.”

Mark's fiancé Adrian Watkins also celebrated the first anniversary of his death with a special social media post.
“My heart hurts so much. It feels like yesterday but also forever. I think about you every minute of every day and I still can't believe you're gone. I'm really sorry that I couldn't save you.”
