The Safta Award winner became the presenter of Noot Vil Noot after Stemmett retired from hosting his long-running TV show.
Noot ville noot Presenter Emo Adams received what amounted to a compliment from a proud father from the show's former presenter, Johan Stemmett.
This came after he was announced as one of the nominees in the Best TV Presenter category at this year's South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas).

The TV presenter was first approached by the veteran in 2017 but only took up the job two years later after Stemmet's urging.
Adams will take over from Stemmett after Afrikaans news anchors Liane Kluwagen and Cart Blanche He is looking to replace the late Derek Watts.
Stemmet remains on Noot ville noot He serves as the show's executive producer and director.
“It's still unbelievable that I get to work with a legend every day. It means a lot and means I'm doing something right,” Adams said of his nomination.

Safta Tournament
In addition to Adams, the other nominees in the Best TV Host category are nine other talented and unique hosts from a variety of shows, but there is one in particular that Adams admires.
“When I saw the list I said, 'Oh my goodness, I'm in the same category as Devi. OK, I've arrived,'” Adams said.

Other candidates include Mpho 'Popps' Modikoane; The Masked Singer, Tina ForeverWith Laconco Cart BlancheGovan Whittles of is also on the list of 10 candidates.
The division is open to public voting and Adams said he doesn't want to run against Devi but needs to campaign to get people to vote.
“I like getting people involved, but do I want to go up against Devi? If I win, I'll call Devi out.”

Oppi Nuth
Adams just finished the first season of KykNET's “Oppi Noot,” a show that shares similarities with “Noot vir Noot.”
The show missed the submission deadline to be considered for the Safta Awards.
But if the feedback from the hockey moms at his son's school is any indication, the show could be in line for an award in the near future.
“The response has been absolutely phenomenal,” Adams said.
“The hockey moms at my son's school had never spoken to me before I was on 'Oppie Noot.' Now some of them come up to me and say, 'Oh, you're on 'Oppie Noot.' I love that show.”
Adams, who also has an incredible singing voice, is currently touring with Mujahid George, Robin Peters, Shaun D and his brother Lukeman Adams as “The Big Five.” The five Cape Town artists each represent a different element.
They recently performed in Dubai and Qatar.
“The show was only meant to tour internationally but there was demand in South Africa,” Adams said.
