South Africa's lead at the top of the World Rugby rankings remains stable for now, but new names could be added to the top four.
The Springboks, Ireland, New Zealand and France have dominated the competition in recent years, but Les Bleus are in danger of falling down the table.
Fabien Galthie's side suffered the disappointment of being eliminated in the World Cup quarter-finals and then suffered a crushing defeat to Ireland in the Six Nations.
Approaching Box
The Irishman's impressive win in Marseille closed the gap on the Boks at the summit, leaving him just 2.43 points clear of the world champions.
However, Andy Farrell's side were unable to pick up any points against 11th-placed Italy at the Aviva Stadium, and a loss would be a huge blow to their ranking.
Most eyes will be on Saturday's two games at Murrayfield, between England (5th) vs. Wales (8th) and Scotland (6th) vs. France (4th).
The difference between the Frenchman in fourth place and the Scotsman in sixth place is just 1.83 points, meaning there could be quite a bit of movement.
If Red Rose's victory coincides with that of Gregor Townsend's team, Steve Borthwick's charges will outweigh Les Bleus.
If Scotland wins with a margin of 15 points or more, they could surpass France and fall further down the rankings of the 2023 World Cup host nation, but if England do not beat Wales they will fall to a historic 4th place. There is a possibility that it will.
For Wales, any win against England would put them ahead of Argentina and move them into seventh place heading into the third round of the Six Nations.
