Cape Town hiker Alistair Stumble went missing on Monday.
Western Cape Police K9 units, SAN Park, Fire and Rescue Services, various drone teams, City of Cape Town law enforcement and multiple search teams are searching for Stumble.
Police spokesman Sergeant Wesley Twigg said Mr Stumble was last seen by his wife on Monday.
“Alistair left the Steenberg property, telling his wife he was going hiking, but never returned. His car was found in Ou Kaapse Weg on Tuesday morning,” Twigg said. .
Police said the search began after his wife reported him missing.
Twigg said Stumble was wearing a long-sleeved gray T-shirt and khaki hiking pants at the time of his disappearance.
On Friday morning, JP Smith, a member of the Mayor's Security Committee, announced that a systematic search for Stumble had begun along the Silvermine hiking trail.

Stumble's car, a Renault Kwid, was found in a car park at Silvermine Reserve.

The city sent hundreds of personnel, consisting of search teams with members from SANParks, Table Mountain National Park and Wilderness Search and Rescue.
