Umkoka: Curse star actor Mr. Mbuso Khoza Fans shed tears this week as they said goodbye.

Fans know Mbuso best as a musician, and his appearance in the drama series surprised some.
Some believed he would not be able to pull off the role of Maphalala, but he surprised everyone.
After just a few episodes, he had already become one of the show's most beloved actors.

Mbuso took to his Instagram to answer questions he had received so far.
“I keep receiving messages about my role as Maphalala almost every day. I thought I needed to make it easy for everyone who follows my work. Just like any other job, “You sign a contract for a certain period of time. This means that the contract that I signed has come to an end and it has been a great journey for my growth as an artist,” he said.
“I am grateful to Dr. Duma Ndlovu for giving me such an amazing opportunity in my dreams. I never imagined myself appearing on television, especially acting. However, I felt it was important to take a moment to discuss this with you all,” he continued.
“I look forward to new opportunities as I continue to be grateful and work hard 👏🌙,” he concluded.
