The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced a payment date of February 2024.

Social subsidies such as the elderly (pensioner) subsidy, disability subsidy and child subsidy are paid monthly to recipients. Assistance will be provided to those who pass the basic means test for each grant.

Updated: February 2024 SASSA payment dates
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the latest payment dates for social grants for February.

Social grants will be paid into the bank account of the person who has provided their bank account details in their profile. Collection is also available at participating retailers including SPAR, PNP, and Boxer Store.

If the grant is approved, the social grant payment dates are:
February 2024 SASSA Payment Date
Social grants will be available for collection from early February 2024.
The first social subsidy to be paid is the elderly (pensioner) subsidy: February 2nd.
The second social grant to be paid is the disability grant: February 5th.
The third grant is the Childcare (Children) Grant: February 6th.
Approved social grants will be available on these dates. A denied grant can be appealed, but it must be done in writing.
Notice regarding social grants
If you're getting Social Security with a Gold Card, the good news is that your Gold Card doesn't expire in 2024. Despite the prior news, Social Security Agency cards will remain valid until the end of the year or until further announcement.
