Nigeria international striker Kelechi Iheanacho has praised Bafana Bafana after a tense African Cup of Nations (Afcon) semi-final match against the Super Eagles on Wednesday.
At the end of the penalty shootout, Nigeria won 4-2.

The former Manchester City striker said Bafana pushed the Super Eagles to their limits at the Afcon.
Iheanacho said after the game: “They're a very good team, they played very well. They've been together for a very long time. They know themselves very well.”

“I think they're a great team, they're a good opponent who gave us a game, and we gave them a game, and it was a really fun game to watch with a lot of tension.
“Congratulations [Bafana] We are grateful to have reached this stage and wish you the best of luck in the third place match. ”

Iheanacho played for the first time in the tournament against Bafana and his penalty took the country to the Afcon final.
“There was a lot of pressure. It was a make-break penalty. I could have saved or lost. God made it possible. I'm happy to reach the final,” he added. .
