Former Orlando Pirates defender Tshepo Gumede has parted ways with Maritzburg United and is looking for a new club.
Gumede reportedly left the Motsepe Foundation Championship team in January after failing to agree to a pay cut.
The well-traveled 32-year-old defender has represented the likes of Orlando Pirates, AmaZulu, Platinum Stars and Cape Town City.

“Motsepe Foundation Championship side Maritzburg United have agreed to part ways with former Orlando Pirates defender Tshepo Gumede.'' Idiski Times I read the report.
“A source confirmed to Barron's that Gumede left United after not agreeing to a pay cut with the club.'' Gumede only had six years left on his contract with the KwaZulu-Natal side, as his contract was only for one year. It was the moon.”

In other news, Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Mankoba Mgukiti is extremely impressed with Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Apolis.
Apolis made his Africa Cup of Nations debut in South Africa's penalty shoot-out victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in the bronze medal match.
The Polokwane City midfielder was brought on in the 58th minute and certainly left his mark on the experienced Mamelodi Sundowns leaders.

“I thought we made some very smart changes in the second half. Monare's change was a big one, Apolis' change was also a big one,” Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqiti said. Idiski Times.
“For me, this boy is the boy who will carry the future. If Apolis had had more chances in this tournament, I think he could have done a lot more for us.
“He could have even had an assist in this game. I should have seen it. [Jayden] Adams, I believe that learning would have helped you in this game. ”
