“It's great to be a female artist”
Nomfundo Mo and Nanette, who were also in attendance, expressed their gratitude for being able to take part in the campaign.
“Being an artist is amazing, but being a woman artist is amazing! Not everyone has the power to break the chains that limit their creativity. Only superhumans can overcome them. We are honored to be featured in Apple Music's Alpha campaign. We strive to break even more chains through music,” said Nomfand.
Nanette said she was honoured to be part of a campaign that celebrates such incredible women.
“I grew up in a household of mostly girls and always believed in the strength and tenacity of women. My first example of great strength was my grandmother.
“She and my mother taught me to be proud of everything it means to be a woman, from vulnerability to adaptability. Women are a force to be reckoned with, and I'm happy to be able to express femininity in its purest form through music,” Nanette said.
