US telecommunications provider Frontier Communications has shut down its systems after a cybercriminal group infiltrated some of its IT systems in a recent cyberattack. BleepingComputer reports: Frontier is a leading communications provider in the United States, delivering gigabit internet speeds to millions of consumers and businesses across 25 states over its fiber-optic network. Following the discovery of this incident, the company was forced to partially shut down some systems to prevent attackers from moving laterally within the network, which also caused some operational disruption.
