People across South Africa were overjoyed as national football team Bafana Bafana defeated Cape Verde 2-0 last night. The team is currently in the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) semi-finals and will face Nigeria next weekend.
Many social media users have been discussing the team's performance, including Zambian politician Joseph Karimbe, who has decided to ravage SA's economy.
However, he was quickly appointed as his successor by Gayton McKenzie of the Patriotic Alliance (PA).

While South Africans are proudly showing off their team, people from other countries haven't stopped getting jabs either.
One person who took the jab was Zambia's Joseph Karimbwe. On X, he wrote how Bafana Bafana should be employed to rebuild his SA's economy.
“Cyril must hire a Bafana Bafana goalkeeper to save the South African economy,” he wrote.
He was immediately blasted by PA Gayton McKenzie, who quickly put him in place.
“South Africa can steal your country with savings cards and stay out of our problems,” Gayton wrote.

Many people joined Gayton in the comments section to slam Zambian politicians.
“Gayton, I love that response because despite your political differences with Cyril, you are showing patriotism,” one person said, while another wrote:
“Look who is tweeting jealous, bitter, hateful Zambians. Which economy needs to be saved, Zambia or South Africa? Tweet hungry! Please come and gather your Zambian brothers in South Africa.”
