The list had to be updated after 22-year-old pop star Tyra beat out Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Olamide and Isla Star to win the award. Musa Keyswas nominated along with Davido not availablein Best African Music Performance Category.

What Tyra said in her acceptance speech
“What? Oh my gosh, guys, this is crazy! I never thought I'd be able to say I won a Grammy at 22 years old,” Tyra said in her acceptance speech.
“For some of you who don't know me, my name is Tyra and I'm from South Africa. Last year God decided to change my entire life. God, my team, my family. I am really grateful to you.
“I know my mom is crying somewhere in here. Thank you The Recording Academy for using this category. It's so important. I know sometimes we forget. , I won a Grammy!”
