The husband of Fimza Sigaka, the 'lady in red' of the Vredenburg Magistrate's Court, is the sangoma from whom she bought missing Jocelyn Smith from her mother Kelly and boyfriend Jackin Apolis (Boeta) They are making false reports.
The trio, along with the couple's friend Steveno Van Ryn, are charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.
Western Cape Police Commissioner Timbisile Patekile said further charges and arrests were planned.
The four defendants remain in custody and their next court appearance is scheduled for March 13th.
The accused's husband claims to be a sangoma

Rumors are buzzing on social media that Kelly instructed Boeta and Stevano to sell little Jocelyn to Shigaka.
He told the publication: “My wife had nothing to do with this incident. She is not friends with Kelly, she is not a sangoma and has never been a sangoma. She has never been arrested for anything. there is no.”
Fellow Diazville resident Lwando Senginbo claims the rumors are causing racial tension in the community.
He said: “First of all, when word got out that the sangoma had been arrested, people were clearly blaming black people.
“We know that Pumza is not a sangoma and has never been one. Currently, searches are being conducted separately for blacks and people of color.”
Charges against Jocelyn Smith: MEC opposes bail
Meanwhile, Western Cape Community Safety and Police Oversight Minister Regen Allen asked the court to deny bail to Jocelyn Smith's mother and co-accused.
He posted on Facebook: “We want this girl to be found unharmed and returned home safely. These suspects must be innocent. We will ask the judge whether we should apply for bail or not. Or we encourage you to refuse the application when it is applied.
“Like many people, I am committed to reuniting Jocelyn with her family, but we continue to support other families with missing children and loved ones.
“And we are working with law enforcement to reunite them with their loved ones.”
