Coach Pitso Mosimane lashed out at journalists after his team's decisive victory against Al Fateh on Sunday.
Mosimane's Abha club won 2-1 and moved out of the Saudi Professional League relegation zone.
“Today's team was outstanding in everything. Today the players gave their hearts to me on the field,” Mosimane said after the match. iDiski Times.
“We succeeded in proving our character by coming back with a great victory today after a disastrous eight-goal defeat in the last game.”
Pitso Mosimane's side bounced back from a humiliating 8-0 defeat to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nasr. Sunday's win lifted Abha to 16th place, but the South African coach faced criticism from some in the media for his defensive play.
Abha Club only had around 24% possession in their 2-1 win over Al Fateh.
Pitso Mosimane has seven games remaining to help Abha club
“I don't have Sadio Mane or Cristiano Ronaldo. I can only work with what I have,” Pitso Mosimane said when asked about his tactics.
“We are trying our best, but we are not seeing an increase in the number of players with special qualities.
“Our performances have improved since we joined and we want to continue this work to keep us out of the relegation zone. We have to help Abha stay in the professional league and this is our goal. “That’s the main goal,” he said.

Pitso Mosimane has collected 11 points in eight games for Abha since taking over as manager. His task has always been to prevent the club from being relegated.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player still has seven games left to save the club from relegation. This is not the first time Jingles has helped a club avoid relegation, as he helped Masandama 10 years ago.
