EFF leader Julius Malema said the party had 110 per cent confidence in the IEC but deplored the mistakes the party was making given its long experience.
Mr Malema was addressing the media in Sandton on a range of issues related to the May 29 vote.
Mr Malema specifically noted that the Electoral Commission had accepted the Electoral Court's decision to cancel the decision barring MK Party's Jacob Zuma from standing in the election for review by the Constitutional Court.
“We don't understand why the IEC would appeal against the Zuma judgment. It is really very personal and by doing so they are giving President Zuma an excuse to keep him out of court by keeping him in the news.” The court appearance is being organized by the IEC because it is causing a rally.”
Malema: Remember, we got 110% on the IEC.
But in this year of hotly contested elections, they're making so many stupid mistakes… #MalemaMediaEngagement

Meanwhile, Malema said the party was ready to talk to all political parties about forming a coalition after May's elections.

We can still have Naledi Pandor under the EFF government as Minister of International Relations.

Mr Malema said the EFF's demands on forming governance partnerships with other political parties were simple and remained unchanged in subsequent elections.
“We are not that far away from many of the stakeholders on what needs to happen. I mean, ATM, AZAPO, PAC, MK, including by the way the ANC on the land issue. In fact, we had an agreement.'' The ANC claimed we were going to expropriate the land without compensation, but they said we were going to nationalize the Reserve Bank. He said indifferently that he intended to establish a bank. We pursued these two when we went to Congress and nationalized the mines and one of the simplest demands we made was to remove the lyrics from the national anthem. ”

There is nothing wrong with the coalition government. We believe this is the most viable solution to political arrogance and people's sins. pic.twitter.com/MzlGbzBQmJ
