Vuyokazi Ntsiweni: 'I'm devastated'
Responding to the audio, Buyokazi said he was devastated by what was said in the recording.
She added that having her private matters aired publicly has caused her mental distress.
“Like many of you, I recently learned of the troubling accusations and statements circulating in voice notes from my fiancé suggesting that I had somehow coerced him into paying lobola. I found out.
“These accusations have brought to light a side of him that I was unaware of or perhaps had avoided seeing.
“I am devastated by what has been said and am struggling to process the emotional impact of this situation,” she said.
Nsiweni said the revelations forced her to face difficult truths about her relationships.
“I'm a woman who has always tried to live my life with integrity and privacy, but I always find my private life in the public domain, especially when it comes to relationships.
“I stand here heartbroken and disillusioned, accepting the painful reality of being let down again.”
Ms Nchiweni concluded her statement by expressing empathy for other women in similar situations.
“I express my solidarity with all those who have endured betrayal and heartbreak. Cultivate empathy and kindness, not just for me, but for everyone who has faced the pain of failed love. I would like to have it.
“I will not be commenting further on this matter. I ask that you respect my privacy as we go through this difficult time.”
Nsiweni and Chef Zolani got engaged a few weeks ago. In August, the reality star shared a now-deleted photo from her lobola ceremony on her Instagram page with the caption: “Promises kept.”
