Zulu Boy spoke to The Citizen ahead of his show at Johannesburg's Untitled Basement on Sunday.
Despite campaigning for the Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) party in the recent elections, artist Mxolisi “Zuluboy” Madjozi says he is not a politician but an activist.
“I have a democratic right to participate in the future of this country through social media, art and activism,” Zuluboy said. The Citizen.
“No, I'm no longer active. But I'm looking forward to the 2026 campaign,” he added.
Zuluboy is one of the co-founders of the MK Party's Creative Council.

Skeleton Blazer, who was recently nominated for Best Reggae at the South African Music Awards (SAMA), and rapper F. Eazy will also join the lineup.

He said his return to music was responding to a call.
