Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody has weighed in on whether Mayank Yadav will be included in India's T20 World Cup squad. In an interaction with ESPNCricinfo, Moody praised the young pacer. However, he has only played two games and is injured so we cannot immediately select him for the World Cup.”
“You really don't know what he can do over a long period of time, under pressure, in different roles. Yes, he is absolutely key to the future and will take care of the asset. For me, The focus (with him) is the 2026 World Cup,” Moody added.

Mayank’s performance in IPL 2024:
Mayank Yadav played just three matches in the IPL this year and made his debut against Punjab Kings. In his three matches played so far, Yadav has taken six wickets at an economy rate of six and a strike rate of nine. In fact, Yadav won the Man of the Match award in his first two of his IPL matches. Since then, the pacer has been away from the LSG team due to injury.
