South African rapper J Molly has announced that he is retiring from music.
The rapper made the announcement hours after backing out of his joint EP with Emtee.
He explained that he cancelled the music project because Emtee was not serious about music, despite having money for travel and lean.
“He passed out on the couch and couldn't put his shoes on. I did three sessions with EmTee last week and he couldn't rap one bar. I left him in the studio, King, do what you want, he came back and rapped four bars in two hours and two of the lines rhymed with each other, so four bars of the same thing,” he said.
“So the last three sessions with me, I paid for everything. I bought them KFC, I paid for their transport, I took them to the studio, I bought them lean. MT is addicted to lean and being Young Celno, he buys them lean. Whether MT is sleeping or swearing at the fans at a gig, that's what he does best.”
Molly posted on Instagram on Tuesday announcing her final collection of work, ” Headhunter.
He further revealed that he is quitting music because he has other sources of income.
“The Headhunter Tape has been released (link is in my profile) this is the last piece I'm giving you guys since I decided to quit. Enjoy, share and save the link I will deactivate my account in 24 hours 🔪 You guys can keep this fame but I don't want it. I make money, music is a hobby for me,” he wrote.
