The TikToker and Bacardi singer was trending on X this week after she was accused of insulting a cashier and then finding herself in hot water.
According to user X, she lost followers on TikTok. The brand pulled the plug after the cashier's video went viral.
Jelly Baby then returned to the retail store and apologized to Martha, the cashier, and all Big Save employees.
SwisherPost has revealed that Jelly Babie is scheduled to host a one-woman show at Bundu Inn in May 2024.
Who is Jelly Baby?
Jelly Babie, real name Karabo Khakhu, is a TikTok influencer, Bacardi dancer and singer.
The Pretoria-based dancer gained popularity following the death of Bacardi king Itumeleng “Vusi Ma R5” Mosuu in January 2023.
In an interview with Culture Spotlight, Kaku credited Mosuu with giving him his big break in the music industry.
TshisaLIVE reported in November 2023 that Ms Mosou's death brought a lot of attention to her at school. She also revealed in her interview that she decided to quit school because her teachers often commented about her going to live shows.
“To be honest, after Vusi R5's funeral, I quit school. When I got to school, people kept saying 'too bad' and asking questions about 'R5', so I couldn't concentrate on school. I could not do it. The teachers called me into the staff room and asked me about R5, my healing status, and even the treatment I was receiving. ” she said.
She also said that she never missed school until she quit because Vusi Ma R5 made sure she attended all her classes.
She is reportedly collaborating with artists such as Pavi Cooper and DJ Uncle Waffles, and revealed at the time that she will be returning to school in January 2024 through homeschooling instead.
