Kaizer Chiefs marketing manager Jessica Motaung shed tears after Amakos lost 3-2 to arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby on Saturday, March 9.
The two Soweto Giants met in the second leg of the DStv Premiership at a packed FNB Stadium.
Thrilling battle
Chiefs went into the game with increased confidence following a 1-0 win against Durban-based Golden Arrows on Tuesday, March 5. Meanwhile, Pirates ended up in a 1-1 draw with Cape Town Spurs.
In this thrilling encounter, the Buccaneers came from behind twice as Ashley du Preez beat the offside trap to open the scoring in the 6th minute. However, Pirates scored the equalizer 18 minutes later when Monapoor Saren beat Bruce Buvuma.
Just before half-time, Du Preez scored his second goal with a volley and the Glamor Boys found the back of the net again.
Sadly for Chiefs fans, Chiefs' lead ended and Sea Rovers equalized in the 57th minute with a cracker from Thabiso Levitso.
The Pirates took the lead 10 minutes later when Saren also scored his second goal of the afternoon.
The win moved Pirates into second place in the log standings behind runaway log leaders and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns. Meanwhile, the Chiefs remain in seventh place.
Jessica Motaung can't stop crying after losing Chiefs

In a video that went viral on social media platform X, Motaung can be seen wiping tears from his face and bowing his head while holding a young girl in his arms.
