Jocelyn Smith's aunt, Mickyla Daniels (sister of the child's mother, Kelly), has publicly vowed to find her. This comes after Ms Daniels claimed her brother confessed to allegedly selling her daughter for R10,000.
Daniels, a female police officer, shared the news on Facebook Live with Patriot leader Gayton McKenzie last week.
On Wednesday, March 6, authorities confirmed that four adults are being investigated in connection with the disappearance of a 6-year-old child. Police also claim that an arrest is “imminent”.
Jocelyn disappeared from her home in Diazville, Saldanha Bay on February 19th. At the time, she was being cared for by her mother's partner, Jackin Apolis, also known as Boeta.

Mickyla Daniels shared a touching tribute to her niece Jocelyn Smith in a Facebook post.
She captioned a video montage of her children: You never deserved what happened. ”
According to eNCA and veteran journalist Annika Larsen, the three people are scheduled to appear in the Vredenburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Larsen tweeted: “They are suspects. They will only appear on Thursday with formal charges. Due process must be followed and everyone has the right to a fair trial.”
Western Cape Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General TE Patekiru and MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety Regen Allen will appear in court, police said in a statement.
“Sold for R10,000”
During a Facebook Live last week, Gayton McKenzie addressed the claims made by Kelly's sister, Mickiella Daniels. Daniels said Kelly confessed to her that someone was interested in buying Jocelyn Smith for R10,000.
Daniels told Gayton during the show that Kelly told him over the phone. One of them wanted to buy her, but Ms. Saldaña got “too hot.” That was exactly what she said to me.
“I feel like Kelly knows where her child is. Why wouldn't she try to look for her child in the community?”
Mickyla claimed that her sister then “changed her story.”
In response, Kelly told Gayton that as a mother, she told her sister that she believed her child was alive and possibly in a squatter camp.
He added: “You're a liar and you're making me look bad about things I don't know.”
