Jubu Jubu, real name Molemo Katleho Maalohanye, has won his lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Amanda Dupont.
The rapper's ex-girlfriend, Amanda, accused Jubb of rape, attempted murder and assault, but after months of court litigation, the state dropped the charges against Jubb.
“Following careful review of the police records referred to above and the report of the relevant prosecutor which we have read in conjunction with your legal team, our office has decided to withdraw the charges against the defendant as there is no prospect of a successful prosecution… Your legal team has been successful and the criminal proceedings against the defendant must be withdrawn,” Johannesburg's acting deputy director of public prosecutions, TJ Mbodi, said in a statement dated June 20 for Jubjubu's legal team.
“Having considered the case file, the prosecutor's report and the statement submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Department of Public Prosecutions has concluded that the prosecution is unlikely to be successful and it is prudent to withdraw the charges against Molemo Maalohanye,” the National Prosecuting Authority's Pindi Mjonondwana said in a statement.
