Despite rumors of a falling out, Kabza de Small announced on social media the release of a new Scorpion Kings album.
The Amapiano duo of award-winning DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small – affectionately known as the Scorpion Kings, have surprised many with their smash hits. Kabuza and Maphorisa have capped off their illustrious careers with numerous accolades over the years.
Aftermath of rumors about Amapiano Duo
The two are recognized as pioneers of Amapiano, and seem to have brought several stars into the limelight. However, in 2023, there were rumors that the two had a falling out.
ChildMoja Their fallout was in the background of DJ Maphorisa's Instagram Live session, where he reportedly took a swipe at Kabza De Small. At one point Musou seemed to boast about bringing Kabza de Small into the spotlight.
In response to these “bragging rights,” Kabza de Small reportedly distanced himself from Musou. Amidst rumors, the duo booked their record labels Pianohub and BlaqBoy Music.
The two have been performing separately and have since deleted most of their pictures together on their social media handles. However, despite rumors of a rift, the two have not publicly confirmed the news, leaving many to speculate whether there was a rift.
Kabza de Small announces new Scorpion Kings album
After Kabza De Small announced that the two were working on a new album, Mzansi was convinced that the fallout from the rumors between the two could be a marketing ploy.
The self-proclaimed Amapiano King posted on his former Twitter account X: “Scorpion Kings album coming soon.” His post has definitely garnered thousands of comments and reactions since it was posted on the internet, with many trying to connect the dots about the duo's relationship.
However, little is known about when their album will be released. The two have released blockbuster projects over the years since joining forces.

Without a doubt, before joining the debut collaboration project, scorpion king, in 2019, the two had already won big. The two gained attention as the “godfathers” of amapiano. DJ Maphorisa had a series of projects under his name with multiple artists.
