Controversial rapper and fashion designer Kanye West has accused athleisure brand Adidas of releasing and selling new “fake” Yeezys without his consent. This comes more than a year after Kanye was fired from her job with Adidas following anti-Semitic rants on social media.
Kanye West slams Adidas for selling fake YEEZY sneakers
In a video posted to Instagram, Kanye revealed that Adidas sold him fake Yeezy sneakers, resulting in him not paying for the sneakers he made.
“Adidas is selling fake Yeezys and not paying me and at the same time suing me,” he captioned an Instagram post on Monday, February 26th.
The Yeezy rapper shared in the video: “Not only are they putting out unapproved fake colorways, they're suing me for $250 million. They're also not paying me for the shoes they're releasing. It has his name on it.”
Kanye West continued: “And now they're using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape one of your favorite artists in broad daylight, right in front of you.” .
“I don’t get paid by them.”
Kanye also reminded fans that anyone who likes him and supports him as an artist will not fall for this new “fake” Yeezy sneaker.
“If you love Ye, you wouldn't buy these fake Yeezys,” the rapper reiterated.
West also explained that he never created new colorways. He also talked about how sports brands are suing him.
“I've never used colors like this. I'm not getting paid for it and Adidas is suing me. All these celebrities and ordinary people will object to the color of my T-shirts and hats. But… , if you all see me, I'm hiding my children.'' If I don't tell you, no one will watch a real Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life. Don’t say anything, don’t do anything,” the rapper said.
“As long as the system is working, what are you guys doing now, delete my albums again, freeze my accounts again, blackmail people to never work with me again? All new unapproved 350s are cool,” Kanye added.
