The South African actress caused a stir on social media when she informed her fans of her decision to undergo surgery in Turkey to achieve her desired facial features.
A few months later, she unveiled her new look and spoke about the challenges she faced during her journey.
On Monday, Carney posted before and after photos of herself and a short video clip, which quickly gained attention across social media platforms.
In the video, Carney appeared noticeably younger, and many said he had an appearance more similar to Korean than South African.
“Maybe I should learn Korean and expand my acting portfolio because clearly the face has chosen its own ethnicity,” she joked on her Instagram Story.
Mzansi users affectionately gave her a Korean-sounding name, but some astute viewers accused her of using a filter in the video.
Critics expressed disappointment and questioned why she used a filter after reportedly spending a lot of money on surgery.
One Twitter user commented: “It's crazy that after all that surgery he still uses filters and face apps.”
