Swedish model Kiki Håkansson, the first winner of the Miss World beauty pageant, has died at the age of 95.
Håkansson made history in 1951 when he became the first titleholder of this prestigious competition.
Håkansson died in her sleep last month, the Miss World organization said in a statement released a few days ago.
“Kiki passed away peacefully at her home in California on Monday, November 4th. According to her children, she passed away peacefully, comfortably and well cared for,” the statement read. It is written in

Miss World elected as 72nd Queen
The beauty pageant, which has been going on for decades, will choose the 72nd queen next year.
In March this year, Krystyna Pišková from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2024 at the Geo World Convention Center in Mumbai, India.
