- Police announced that they are investigating four counts of murder.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makale said a search for the unidentified killer had begun after a body was found in a stream in Botsabelo, Free State.
Makale said police recovered four bodies between January 22 and February 1, one of them decapitated.
Makale said the bodies of two men and two women were found several meters apart. He said the first body was an unidentified man between 45 and 50 years old with multiple stab wounds to his thighs and his chest.
Her throat had been slit and her feet and hands were tied to small sandbags.
The other victim, Lebohang Julia Kutsoane, was found decapitated with two stab wounds near the Sepone River.

Makale said police investigated her disappearance soon after her family reported her missing after a short trip to a shopping mall.
Police found a third body 50 meters from the first scene. Makale said the unidentified body was attached to a bag filled with stones to prevent it from floating.
Similarly, the fourth body was found tied up not far from where the other bodies were found.
Makale said police suspect the killers collected stones from a nearby railway.
Investigators have not yet made any arrests, and it is unclear whether he is related to the incident.
“Four murder cases have been opened in Serosha and are currently under investigation. A team of highly skilled investigators has been assigned to track down and arrest the suspects involved in the gruesome murders,” Makale said. Ta.
