On Saturday, Czech Republic's Krystyna Piszkova won the coveted Miss World 2024 title at a grand event held here.
Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zaitoun was chosen as the first runner-up.

Karolina Bielawska, the current Miss World from Poland, crowned her successor in a star-studded finale.
India's representative, who hosted the event for the first time in 28 years, was 22-year-old Sini Shetty.
Mumbai-born Shetty was selected as Femina Miss India World 2022, but did not make it to the top four in the contest.
India stars Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mukhei (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), Manushi Chhillar. He has won the prestigious title six times (in 2017).
The 71st Miss World contest, which saw contestants from 112 countries around the world, was held here at the Geo World Convention Center in BKC.
The finale's 12-member jury included film producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Actors Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh. News personality Rajat Sharma and social worker Amruta Fadnavis. Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited, his Dr. Vineet Jain, Julia Morley, President and CEO of the Miss World Organization; Jamil Saidi, strategic partner and host of Miss World India, and three former Miss Worlds, including Chiral.
The event was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, and got off to a successful start with performances by singers Shaan, Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar and others.
The event also featured a video message by Chopra Jonas highlighting the importance of “Beauty with a Purpose,” a tagline associated with the Miss World pageant.
The cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's maiden web series 'Heera Mandi: The Diamond Bazaar' also includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh, 13 I walked on stage with other Miss World contestants. In the show's new song “Sakal Ban”.
The month-long Miss World event featured a series of grueling competitions that included talent showcases, sporting challenges and charity work. The purpose of all of this is to highlight the qualities that make the athlete an ambassador of change.
The finale was live streamed exclusively on Sony LIV in India.
