The family of Limpopo-born comedian Kagiso Ramoshai, aka The Pope, confirmed in a statement that he passed away on Sunday, April 14.
Funeral arrangements will be decided soon, his brother Tshepo Ramoshai said in a Facebook post.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kagiso “Pope” Ramoshai. At this time of sadness, we ask for your compassion, space and time to gather as a family. Funeral plans will be announced soon. It will be announced.”

The 28-year-old content creator was involved in a car accident involving eight cars between Madiba Park and Regae La Baso on the outskirts of Polokwane.
The publication adds that Mr Ramoshai is also a former presenter on the University of Limpopo community station Radio Turf.
