LIV Golf has officially withdrawn its application to award world ranking points to players from tournaments, according to a letter sent by Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman to members of the Saudi-backed circuit on Tuesday. It is said that he did.
LIV Golf first applied for accreditation to the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), which plays a key role in determining golf's entry into the four major majors, in July 2022, but was rejected in October last year.
