Liverpool's hopes of winning the Premier League suffered a major blow as they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace at Anfield.
The visitors deservedly took the lead just before the break as Eberechi Eze converted from Tyrick Mitchell's cut-back to end Palace's fluid early run.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds increased the pressure in the second half, but as in recent games against Manchester United and Atalanta, they disappointed with the finish and suffered their first home league defeat in November 2022.
The defeat leaves Liverpool two points behind leaders Manchester City, and they are level on points with Arsenal by the time the Gunners play Aston Villa later on Sunday (kick-off 16:30 BST).
