A memorial service for Kaizer Chiefs footballer Luke Fleur has begun at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Fleur, 24, was tragically killed in a hijacking at a gas station in Honeydew, a suburb of Johannesburg, last week.

Fleur was shot and killed by one of four suspects who entered the filling station in a white BMW while waiting for a gas attendant.
According to surveillance camera footage, the soccer player fired back when the suspects tried to flee in a VW Golf 8 GTI. He was shot in the chest and died on the way to a medical center.
The six suspects were tracked down and arrested in Sloboville, Soweto province, in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police were also able to recover his car, which had its parts removed.

- Fleur joined Kaizer Chiefs as a free agent in October 2023 after being released by SuperSport United in September.
- The talented footballer joined from Ubuntu FC in 2018 and made 70 appearances for SuperSport.
- He was named the 2021/22 PSL Young Player of the Season.
