Luke Williams says Swansea City have a “big job” ahead of them as they prepare for a rebuild in the close season.
Swansea completely revamped their squad and staff last summer, with Russell Martin's move to Southampton.
But after a difficult season, Williams is hoping for more changes.
“We have almost cleared the first big hurdle of maintaining our league status,” said Swansea's head coach.
“Right now we're in the middle of a bit of a rebuild. There's a lot of work to do and a lot of things we have to do right to make sure we're in a good position. It’s a challenge.”
Swansea signed 12 players in last summer's transfer window, with Andy Coleman initially appointed as chairman and Paul Watson as sporting director.
They then signed free agent Yannick Bolasie in November, followed by three more new signings in January, and 16 players have also left Championship clubs over the past two periods.
There have also been changes in the dugout, with Williams taking over in January after Martin's replacement, Michael Duff, was fired last December.
“We need to make sure that all decisions are correct.”
Manager Williams said Swansea, who are in 14th place in the second division after a turbulent season, “need to understand the magnitude of each decision'' made to the players this summer.
“If everything is right, it's a miracle. If almost every decision is right, we'll be fine,” he added.
“If you make more mistakes than right decisions, it's going to be a little bit of a hassle. So you have to make sure that it's the right thing to do with everyone that comes in and out.”
As it stands, Joe Allen, Kyle Norton, Liam Walsh, Jamie Patterson, Przemysław Placeta, Liam Cullen and Bolton loanee Nathanael Ogbeta are all set to have their Swansea contracts expire this summer. is.
The loans of Wales' Carl Rushworth, Bashir Humphries, Harrison Ashby, Charlie Patino, Charles Sagoe Jr. and Jamal Rowe are coming to an end.
Of these, only Lowe looks like a candidate to return, although Swansea may not be able to fund the deal after Williams concedes. Rushworth likely to play in the Premier League next season.
Williams, whose team travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, said there would be “further news soon” about the players who are out of contract following “more advanced discussions” in recent days.
