In January, Mahindra updated the XUV400 SUV with a major overhaul of the interior and feature list. This change brings it much closer to its competitors, especially the Tata Nexon EV. Powertrain specifications
In this EL Pro guise, the Mahindra XUV400 is powered by a 39.5Kwh battery pack and a 110kW motor producing 148bhp/310Nm, mated to a single-speed transmission powering the front wheels. real world range test
Mahindra claims an official range of 456 km for this top-spec EL Pro 39.4 kWh model. We began the test with the battery charged to 100 percent, at which point the onboard trip computer indicated a DTE of 278km. In fun mode, which is the default setting.
I completed 67.2km with 75% battery remaining, and the trip computer showed a range of 209km.
With 50 percent battery remaining, the car had traveled 129.3 km, and the trip computer showed a range of 138 km.
At the 10 percent mark we had traveled 228.2km, the DTE on the trip computer read 24km, and finally at the zero mark we had traveled another 27.8km, with the car coming to a complete stop at 256km.
