“I went back to the hospital to have all the heavy metals removed from my ankle. I'm so grateful this supported me,” Watkins wrote in an Instagram post.
The post touched many people's hearts, as it was reminiscent of Pilgrim's countless photos of himself in the hospital as he battled cancer.
The famous radio jock passed away on March 5 last year at the age of 53.
In a recent post, Watkins wrote, “I'm back on crutches and I've got a special teddy bear that my beautiful nieces gave me that I'm pushing onto my knee scooter to keep me safe for a while until I can walk again.” There is.
It is believed that the couple were together for three years before Pilgrim's death.

On the eve of Pilgrim's death anniversary, Watkins reflected on his life and the time they spent together.
“All I can think about is that a year ago today would have been our last night together. Last night I held your hand in mine and I knew that no matter what happened, we would have each other. I was able to hug him knowing everything was going to be okay,” Watkins said.
“I can't believe it's been a year without you, my love bug. My heart hurts so much,” she wrote.
“I wish I had more time than anything. I think about you every minute of every day and I still can't believe it. [are] Had disappeared. I love you. I'm so sorry I couldn't save you,” Watkins concluded with a heartbroken emoji.
Their love for each other was obvious. In 2022, after being hospitalized with a collapsed lung, Pilgrim wrote a heartfelt letter to his partner and looked optimistically toward life outside the hospital.
“Four days in the hospital…Adrian was by my side. One day, as we were drinking cocktails on the beach, our toes in the sand, the girls laughing in the background, we reflected on the past few months. , will say this was a hellish journey…and we got through it. #NeverStopBelieving”.
The Hot 102.7FM presenter was relentlessly positive about his prospects despite the adversity.
He spent several weeks in the ICU in December 2022, saying on Twitter that he would be able to go home “after 64 days, 7 procedures, and almost 15 kg weight loss.”
In her last tweet, Pilgrim talked about how weak her body was.
In 2023, his last employer had to issue a statement to quell rumors about his death.
“Hot 102.7 wants to let the public know that Mark Pilgrim is not dead. Social media posts suggesting he has died are false. Mark shares fake news about his condition We are asking people to refrain from doing so,” Hot 102.7's Dr. Lloyd Madurai said in a statement at the time.
