In “Dune: Prophecy,” Strong plays the character of Javico Corino, the first Padishah Emperor.
hit tv series Dune: Prophecy It could be a fictional world set a thousand years before the rise of Paul Atreides, the protagonist of the TV and movie series. But British actor Mark Strong said the themes explored were no different from real-world experiences.
“It's similar to the world we live in, each group of people or countries, or the world. dunesthey want housing that benefits them and their families above all else,” Strong told the media.
The actor plays the character of the first Padishah Emperor Javico Corino. The series is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television.

Legendary Television also produces the film series, which has so far released two films to critical acclaim, with the first winning six Oscars and the second in 2024. It became the fourth biggest blockbuster.
Dune: Prophecy The film is set 10,000 years before the Ascension of Atreides and follows the Harkonnen sisters as they battle forces that threaten humanity's future and establish the legendary sect that would become known as the Bene Gesserit.
“What you're watching is a world where all these people are competing against each other, and that's the appeal of this show. Who's in, who's the loser, who's winning, who's losing, who's in power, , who doesn't have one?'' Strong said.

A fascinating storyline
Strong served a stint at the recently concluded event. penguin The actor, who played Carmine Falcone in the series, said it was the complexity of his character that drew him into Dune's story.
The world of Dune was created and written by Frank Herbert in the 1960s, and Strong said there are arguments: star trek, star wars and other similar works are based on original books written by Herbert.
“He invented an incredibly complex world, so it was really fascinating to work on something that tried to tell the story of that world,” Strong said of the writer.

“When you have a character like an emperor who is in charge of everything, you have great control over everything. What I like about him is that he's not like that. He has insecurities and , I'm not entirely sure if I can manage what's going on around me, even if it looks like it outwardly. That's where I got drawn into it,” he said.
Dune: Prophecy It will be broadcast every Monday at 9pm on M-Net and on Showmax at 9:30pm until December 23, 2024.
