Senzo Meyiwa case suspect's sister dies
The sister of accused number 3 in the Meiwa Senzo murder trial was reported to have died on Wednesday morning after ingesting rat poison. It is said that she died at the age of 27.
The publication said Mthokozisi Mapisa's other sister, Shinkobile, denied allegations that she had poisoned him to silence her.
“We don't know all the details as to why she decided to commit suicide and kill her unborn child. Ms. Nqobile was seven months pregnant. She said she was happy to become a mother. “We know that this has nothing to do with our brother or Mr. Senzo Meyiwa's case,” Shinkobile was quoted as saying.
Shinkobile reportedly expressed that he was still unable to come to terms with his sister's death. “Her pain hit her right in the heart because she never expected something like this from her,” Shincobile was quoted as saying.
Plans are reportedly already underway to return Nqobile's body from Johannesburg to KwaZulu-Natal. Details of Nqobile's burial have not yet been disclosed.
